My
WOODHEAD ancestors were originally
from Cumberworth, Kirkburton in West Yorkshire. My ancestors traveled to Stalybridge in Cheshire in
the mid 1800's. I have been able to trace back to the early 1700's,
the family of Abraham Woodhead and Elizabeth Dyson
in the Almondbury area of West Yorkshire. Other Woodhead surnames include:
Armstead, Beaumont, Bottomley, Dyson, Field, Hollingworth, Houldsworth,
Perkins, Taylor, Tyne
My
direct line of GEE's were found in the Manchester, Stockport, Hyde and Gee
Cross areas in Cheshire, England.
The Gee family roots started in Yorkshire. The earliest family's
included Alexander Gee of Rothley, Sir William Gee of Hull and were in the
woolen export business. Gee's. Mike Gee of

of Providence, Rhode Island United States
