from Cumberworth, Kirkburton in West Yorkshire. My ancestors traveled to Stalybridge in Cheshire in
the mid 1800's. I have been able to trace back to the early 1700's,
the family of Abraham Woodhead and Elizabeth Dyson
in the Almondbury area of West Yorkshire. Other Woodhead surnames include:

My GEE ancestors were originally found in the Stockport, Hyde and Ashton under Lyne areas in Cheshire, England. Also known as Greater Manchester.
